Comprehensive Legal Services For Dental Professionals
Dear Colleague:
I am pleased to share with you that I am now affiliated with Rivkin Radler LLP, one of the largest law firms on the east coast. Rivkin has over 250 lawyers across 6 offices and a robust healthcare practice. I will continue to be your first point of contact and will remain at point on your deals. With a large support team behind me I will be able to better assist you. And no—a large firm doesn’t mean large fees.
Rivkin’s Health Services Practice Group assists dentists, physicians and other medical providers in navigating the maze of laws, rules, regulations, and policies that govern our practices. We have more than thirty attorneys whose sole focus is providing legal advice to healthcare providers. I hope to continue to have the privilege of advising you.
Rivkin Radler has offices in New York City; New Jersey; Long Island; Albany; Poughkeepsie; and Jacksonville, Florida. I appreciate the confidence you have placed in me in the past and look forward to introducing you to my new colleagues and the extensive array of legal services we can offer you.

TRANSITIONS
The law firm of Eric J. Ploumis, D.M.D, J.D. will review, negotiate and draft all of the necessary documents for the purchase or buy-in of a dental practice on behalf of either the seller or purchaser. We will discuss and review the intricacies, options and consequences of all issues related to the practice transition. Our goal is to effectively advocate for our client with a focus on protecting the client’s interests. We take both side’s desires into account in order to achieve equitable terms essential to a successful transition.
LEASES
Our attorneys will review, negotiate, and draft leases and subleases with a specific focus on issues that are important to dentists and their practices. Often an afterthought, a dental office lease can be the “tail that wags the dog.” The dental office lease is an important factor in determining the value of a practice. A poorly negotiated lease can have economic consequences beyond just paying too much rent. The lease also has a direct impact on your ability to transition your practice. A poorly-prepared lease can affect the value of a practice when a dentist is preparing to take in a partner or transition out of his or her practice
ASSOCIATE AGREEMENTS
Our attorneys will review, negotiate, and draft employment, associate and independent contractor agreements for all dental professionals. Our goal is to effectively advise and advocate for our client. We will discuss and review the terms of the agreement and explain how each term can affect both the present employment opportunity and any future employment or transition opportunities.
